Moooore wedding stuff!

This wedding has taken over my life!! :) Here's what I've gotten done lately..4 months and 21 days!

i went home to visit momma and my daddy for the last two days, and got some serious wedding stuff done!
our head table mock up:

not quite sure which color of rose petals, but i love how romantic and dreamy it looks :) we also did a half-a$$ mock up of the short centerpieces, and got more materials for the tall ones!


we also got some of the bm gifts:
 solid black, and i'm getting either their names or initials embroidered :)  i got one for me, only in purple! kinda like this, but a little bit diff shade of purple
 n i'll also be getting mine embroidered :)
i also got my veil from crowning glory, but i'm not sure if i'm 100% happy with it (i wanted more fullness) so im having her make an extra piece to add some more poof! (btw, i've been doing laundry ALL day, which is why our room looks a hot mess!!)
 i have no idea how i'm doing my hair...if u can't tell :)


aaaand a couple weeks ago i made this hair flower for my MOH!!

He's to die for!!

Two blog posts in one day!? Man this must be addicting! But I just had to, here's why:

Danny and I are doing this thing called "Fireproof Your Wedding" where each day you get a new "Love Dare". Its usually just easy little things that will make your marriage the best it can be! For ex, yesterday was "You're not allowed to say one negative thing to your spouse all night" so you get the idea!

Well today's was to just buy a little something while out and about to show your spouse that you were thinking of them. Well, while I was out at Sheetz getting chicken fingers I grabbed Danny a bad of Nutter Butter's because I know he LOVES them!

Well, I get home from work to 2 gorgeous daisies, a bottle of my fave wine and a gift card to belle tower spa for a day of relaxation! i could NOT believe it!! i was like WHAT?!?!?

I love him so freakin much. How do I get so lucky? It's so cool that he's taking this whole "love dare" thing seriously...it might just actually make our relationship even better (if possible!!)

Centerpieces?

Well, today my momma and I have decided we'll be doing our own centerpieces!  It just seems like for the amount of money we need to pay the florist, we could do it ourselves and make it looks AMAZING, and then get to sell everything afterwards!

Today we were on the hunt for at least 30" trumpet vases, like so:

The centerpieces will look like this:

 

(actually how the whole reception will *hopefully* look!)

simple, right?  WRONG!  how do i keep the vases from tipping over?  fill then with water?  sand? pebbles?

should i get clear? frosted with LED lights in the bottom?  black?!

so many decisions!  but i'm happy we'll be doing it ourselves.  we're pretty much doing this whole wedding by ourselves, so why not the centerpieces too ;)

btw, only 10 of the cp's will be these tall ones.  the others will look like this:

we already have the alternating height square vases for the candles.  now i just need to decide on candle color and rose petal color.  hmmm...this is gonna be tough!!

Some Wedding Stuff

Well, here's some stuff we have done for the wedding so far!

I worked hard on this, and I'm pretty proud of it!

When Danny broke his leg, we figured it was a good time to start on this long and intricate task! Some may think I'm crazy for gluing every single last crystal on every last table number, but look how beautiful they are! A labor of love =) And hopefully I'll be able to sell them after the wedding! Here's the process:

Danny getting to it!  All while still smoking his black and mild so he still feels "manly"  LOL i love him so much!

Spray painting the numbers, bases and rods we received from Crafty Eddy, who I found on PW!

Gluing on every...last...swarovski crystal...

I love these, I really do.  And I've gotten SO many compliments on them!  It's weird to go to everyone's house and see them on the fridge! Made thru vistaprint.com, I designed them myself =)

• DIY Uplighting!

I ordered these from Kiah, a lovely PW bride.  I'm so happy to have them, I think they'll really make a difference in the reception venue!

• Monograms

Well, I had Nicole from pinkdesignevents.com design some for me pretty early on in the planning process.  While she does very lovely work (and I'll still be using one of the monograms she made me) I've decided to design my own main monogram so I can really make it just the way I want it! Here's the one Nicole designed for me:

• Make Up Trial

I had a makeup trial by Sarah Giovinetti.  She did an awesome job!  I'll def be tweaking a few things (like not making my lips look so huge!  everyone knows I have tiny lips, we're not fooling anyone!) and adjusting the colors, but it came out lovely:

Still have to find someone to do my hair, and make my hair flower =)

• Cake!

Our cake will be totally made from strawberry cheesecake and key lime pie! I'm so excited!  I HATE cake.  I've never liked.  My mom would always get me ice creams cake for birthdays!  SO why have cake just because it's my wedding and that's what you're "supposed to do"?  I think not! My Little Family

I gotta say, I have an exceptionally cute little family =)  MAJOR stud as a hub-to-be, and two incredibly adorable little girls (even though they are, in fact, kittens!)

This is a picture from our date night last night =) Just a quick trip to applebees since we got a giftcard for Christmas, but I just LOVE little date nights!

This is Storme Girl, and as you can tell she's a COMPLETE daddy's girl!  It is SO pathetic!  But, she still snuggles with her momma =)  She loves to be rubbed, as you can see in her superman position!  She's so full of personality, she is very literally obsessed with soft blankets.  She hunts them down and just wraps herself in them!! Too cute, but she's also the pain in the butt!  Into everything, always runnin her mouth, and tries to get outside everytime you open the door!

This is little Luna Belle!  She is the sweetest thing in the whole world, and TOTALLY a momma's girl.  She even snubs Danny sometimes!  And I'll be honest, I kinda like it ;) haha!  She's the opposite of Storme, she loves to lay on hard things! Picture frames, my laptops, just random stuff!  She's not as talkative as Storme, but she has a much "sweeter" voice.  She's just a little girl!  You can see on the picture on the right, she loved climbing up my leg when she was a baby.  Like I said, total momma's girl!

This is my favorite picture of them from when they were babies.  They were actually sleeping like that!  They do everything together, so glad we got sisters!

I love my kittens so much I could talk about them for days!  So i'll try to keep the blog posts short when it comes to them ;)

This is my family!  Me, Danny beside me, my brother Nick, and my Momma and Daddy!  Oh and Jack, my dog, is down front, but all you can see is his butt!  I love, love, love, love my family!

Bridesmaid Dresses!

Well, after a LONG, long search that was the hugest pain in the ass in the entire world, we finally found bridesmaid dresses! And we found them at Dillards...who knew! They're different, classy, and fit into my "theme"/color scheme perfectly :) I'm happy!

Blogging?

Well, I've officially hopped on the band wagon :) I never thought I would, but I found myself really enjoying reading through other blogs, especially brides to be and newlyweds! It's a nice way to keep in touch and document your life!

In this new year, we're really focusing on Danny totally healing, pulling off the wedding of our dreams and pursuing careers :)
